Minecraft Forge: Tips On Modding Armor Introduction. With the getCurrentArmor method you pass in an int parameter that represents the armor slot (0 for boots, 1 for leggings, 2 for chestplate. Sometimes you'll want armor to do a more 'one time' effect. For example, I've made Boots of Safe Falling that eliminate fall damage. Visible Armor Slots makes it so you can always have access to your armor from any pop-up menu. This may seem like a non-issue until you actually start needing to access your armor and don’t want to remove it, place it in your inventory, and then go back to the menu you were at previously.

it also adds other armor sets such as:

Wood armor(make armor from any type of wood)

Stone armor(make armor from stone)

Obsidian armor(make armor from obsidian)

Emerald armor(make armor from emeralds)

In order to make this mod work you need the latest block launche version which it is still in beta

Cosmetic Armor mod for Minecraft 1.7.10 1.8.9 allows you to carry two sets of armor, one for appearance, one for function and active protection .Very cool mod for PVP modes, you can as the main armor to wear enchanted diamond armor and on top wear leather or gold and everyone will think you are a noob in weak armor, but when they start to attack you will begin to work diamond armor and you are not so easy to kill other players will be confusion and misunderstanding why don't you die. You can combine multiple types of armor for both visual and physical perception, you can make stylish outfits while not losing good protection. Or even remove the armor visually.
